Importance of Satellite Components and LAN

Questions: 1. What are the Importance of satellite components?Antennas, solar panels, communications payload, control system.2. What are the importance of Local Area Network (LAN) in todays world? Answers: 1. Importance of satellite components: A satellite is mainly a self contained system for communication. A satellite system has the capacity to receive signals from earth and to and to again transmit the signal back to the satellite with the help of the transponder. Transponder is an integrated transmitter and receiver of radio signals. Here 6 components of satellite have been mentioned, Control system, Communication payload, Solar panels, Antennas (Wang Liu, 2013). Antennas: The antenna is widely visible part of satellite communication system. The antenna is receives and transmit the modulated carrier signal using electromagnetic spectrum at radio frequency portion. There are four types of antennas are available, phased array, Helical Antenna, Horn antenna and parabolic antenna. Solar panels: solar panels are the provider of power. Though the satellite have batteries to offer enough power when the sun is blocked by earth. Again the batteries are charged by the huge amount of current generation by the solar panels when there is the availability of sun light. A solar tracker is attached with the solar panel that let the solar panel to be faced towards the angle relative to the sun. The Wide applications of solar trackers are positioned on the solar panels. Communication payload: The communication payload is an important sub system to provide the communication service. The communication payload is responsible for the establishment of connection between the several communication devices. These devices are located on the earth or in the air. Services are provided by the flow of electromagnetic radiation. Control system: An orbiting satellite is contiguously changing its place depending upon the gravitational gradients and solar radiation. To eliminate the location changing disturbance by ensuring solar panel facing towards the sun and high precision toward the required direction on the earth surface. All these requirements are met by the attitude of control system (Orcutt, 2013). 2. Importance of Local Area Network (LAN) in todays world: With the technological advancement, almost every organization now a day is focused on having effective communication system. Hence it became possible for them connect the every corner within the organization. A LAN, i.e. Local Area Network allows connecting the local segments of computing devices, that in turn allows form the client server model also. With the help of this client server model, it became possible to access clients device and from remote location. Now day use of internet and LAN connectivity made it possible to share a single resource within a group of users. These client users can send request to have some resources to the server machine and the server process the request, of the resource is free or is not being used by other resources are allocated to the system that is requesting for its service. This scenario in turn is eliminating the cost to build up an ICT infrastructure in an organization (Defining LANs, 2015). LAN incorporation can help to build up the employe e productivity and allows a standardized use of hardware and software. Even the administrator can manage the system resources in a well efficient manner. References communication, A. (2015).
